A chess robot broke a seven-year-old boy's finger during a match at the Moscow Open.

现场视频显示，机器人先是拿掉了这名男孩的一子，男孩伸手走下一步棋，随后机器人的手臂却将他的手指夹住，两旁的成年人赶紧冲过来施救，男孩最终才得以脱身。 

A video shared on social media shows the robot taking one of the boy's pieces. The boy then makes his own move, and the robot grabs his finger. Four adults rush to help the boy, who is eventually freed and ushered away.

《卫报》援引俄塔斯社报道称，莫斯科象棋联合会主席拉扎列夫说，“机器人弄折了孩子的手指，这当然很糟糕。”

“The robot broke the child’s finger,” Sergey Lazarev, president of the Moscow Chess Federation, told the TASS news agency after the incident, “This is of course bad.”

拉扎列夫称，机器人是他们租来的，此前也在多个地方展示过。“很明显，运营方忽略了某些问题。孩子下了一步棋，随后还是需要给机器人一点时间反应，但是孩子太着急了，所以导致机器人抓到了他的手指。男孩后来戴着石膏护具继续参赛，由志愿者帮他移动棋子。”

"The robot was rented by us, it has been exhibited in many places by specialists for a long time. Apparently, the operators overlooked some flaws. The child made a move, and after that it is necessary to give time for the robot to respond, but the boy hurried, the robot grabbed him.The child played the next day, finished the tournament in a plaster cast, and volunteers helped to record the moves," Lazarev added.

不过，也有认真的网友指出事故的前后逻辑，并提出改进意见。

俄媒Baza News报道称，男孩名叫Christopher，在莫斯科9岁以下棋手中名列前30。

The Telegram post from Baza News identified the boy as Christopher and said he is one of the top 30 chess players in Moscow under the age of 9.

据报道，男孩的家长要联络检方，象棋协会方面表示也会提供帮助，拉夫列夫称，“运营方也要思考加强保护措施，防止类似情况再度发生。”

The boy's parents intend to contact the prosecutor's office, he added, saying the Moscow Chess Federation would try to help them. "The robot operators, apparently, will have to think about strengthening protection so that this situation does not happen again," Mr Lazarev said, TASS reported.

《卫报》称，俄罗斯象棋大师卡尔亚金称，事故毫无疑问是“某种软件问题”，“此前没有发生过这样的事故，希望男孩身体健康。”

A Russian grandmaster, Sergey Karjakin, said the incident was no doubt due to “some kind of software error or something”, adding: “This has never happened before. There are such accidents. I wish the boy good health.”
