O peak of peaks, how high it stands!
One boundless green o’erspreads two States.
A marvel done by Nature’s hands,
O’er light and shade it dominates.
Clouds rise therefrom and lave my breast;
My eyes are strained to see birds fleet.
Try to ascend the mountain’s crest;
It dwarfs all peaks under our feet.

In this poem, Du Fu ‑ a Chinese poet who lived during the Tang Dynasty (618-907) ‑ shares his experience and imaginative thoughts while looking at Taishan Mountain from different perspectives without directly saying its name out loud.
唐代诗人杜甫在这首诗中借由多视角描述，流露出他对泰山的深切感受与丰富想象。全诗并未点明“泰山”二字，跃然纸上的是“远近高低各不同”的壮丽景观。
The first two lines present a view of the mountain from a distance, the middle four from close range, and the last two from above. By describing and praising these wonderful natural views, Du aims at expressing his grand ambition (雄心壮志) and firm determination to overcome all difficulties under heaven.
前两句描绘了泰山远景，中间四句展示了近距离欣赏时的景色，最后两句则来自鸟瞰视角。通过“多维度”的表达手段，杜甫表达了他誓要克服天下一切困难的雄心壮志。
